Your Weekend: A Selective Guide
Movies: This weekend, the Taylor Swift concert movie is poised to blow everything else out of the water…TV/Streaming: The reboot (kinda) of “Frasier” is now available on the Paramount streaming service. The original is one of my favorite TV shows, and I’m wary of the new one (no Niles), but I’m sure I’ll watch an episode or two…Books: Mary Gabriel’s new Madonna biography is a door-stopper. I think I’ll give it a miss. The door-stopper I’m looking forward to is Streisand’s upcoming memoir…Music: I gave “For All the Dogs,” Drake’s new album, a listen, but switched to something else when the Pet Shop Boys sample turned up — and it turns out it’s uncredited. Not cool…Sports: I still have hopes for the New York Liberty in the WNBA final: they’re the only New York pro team right now that has winning ways.
