The Flag Project: New York
Lots of people are lamenting the lack of culture in NYC these days. So it’s refreshing to hear about a public art installation, entitled The Flag Project, at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. It showcases 193 flags designed by the public and a range of artists, including Hank Willis Thomas, Jeff Koons (whose design is pictured) and Marina Abramović. These temporary designs represent New Yorkers’ love for the city.
