Carole Shelley Dies At 79
I couldn’t let any more time go by before noting this actress’s passing. She originated the role of Madame Morrible in “Wicked” and received a Tony nom for “Billy Elliot.” But she won the Tony for “The Elephant Man,” which was my first glimpse of her. And of course she was one of the Pigeon Sisters in “The Odd Couple.”
