“Carrie” To Show Up On “Riverdale” Tonight
I count seeing the “Carrie” musical — I was one of the few: it closed on Broadway, 30 years ago, 3 days after it opened — as one of the greatest experiences of my life. Not since “Springtime for Hitler” has a Broadway audience, real or imagined, been drop-jawed for an entire show. So I am cautiously heartened to see that TV’s “Riverdale,” an updating of the Archie comics, is using songs from “Carrie” in tonight’s episode. Take a listen here.
