The Weeknd: “He Was Never There”
The Weeknd has shared a new video titled “He Was Never There.†It consists largely of behind-the-scenes footage that was captured during the recording sessions for Abel Tesfaye’s latest album My Dear Melancholy, as well as audio clips from collaborators and the Weeknd himself. The new Joachim Johnson-directed film takes its title from the Weeknd’s song “I Was Never There,†featuring French producer Gesaffelstein. He previously released two moody video clips for songs off the album. Earlier today, it was announced his Coachella performance will be live-streamed later this month.
