“Beatles” Musical? Why The Hell Not?
Julie Taymor thinks it’s the ripe time to make her charming “Across the Universe” movie into a musical. It has possibilities to transcend the jukebox formula. And I’d much rather see it than all those other baby-boomer shows about to swamp Broadway — you know, the ones about Cher and Tina Turner and the Bee Gees.
