Will She Light Up Billboards In Oscar Gold?
I’ve always thought that Frances McDormand — who with her husband, Ethan Coen, used to live in my apartment building — was a serious Best Actress contender this year for that movie with the endless title: “Three Billboards…” But today’s plethora of commentary reminding us how topical the film is — female vengeance against murder — makes me think that McDormand, an Oscar winner for “Fargo,” really could grab her second statue in March.
