But the show has been cancelled because of investment shortfall. “Pigs” was being retooled by Mark Waldrop, the original co-conceiver, lyricist and director. Howard Crabtree, the original costumer and, along with Mr. Waldrop, the show’s co-author, died of AIDS two months before opening.
