Katzenberg’s Plan To Change Entertainment
Hmm. I’d hardly say Jeffrey Katzenberg‘s idea is “revolutionary”: signing up top talent to produce short-form projects aimed at cellphones. I mean, we’ve had top artists doing music videos for 35 years, and many of them more recently have been scaled to phone-size. And there are tons of talented people already producing stories in quick-bite installments for you Samsung or Apple. I understand that Katzenberg wants to up the production values. Mostly, this seems a game of catch-up to the fact that most people have more and more fractured attention spans.
