Ben Platt Sings So Beautifully
Even before Dear Evan Hansen opened on Broadway in December 2016, star Ben Platt had been appearing on the late-night circuit. Usually the critically acclaimed actor sings the show’s anthem, “Waving Through a Window†(or his duet with co-star Laura Dreyfuss, “Only Usâ€). On the May 22 episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Platt sang the less-heard but equally moving “For Forever.†Accompanied by a fuller orchestra than seen on Broadway, Platt had the crowd cheering.
