TV/Streaming: Lots of great documentaries on Netflix right now…On Sunday, NBC airs a program about the most famous resident of my South Dakota hometown: “Tom Brokaw: The First 50 Years.” Music: Philip Roth says the classic text most relevant to Trump is not “1984” or “It Can’t Happen Here” or even Roth’s own “The Plot Against America” but Melville’s “The Confidence Man.” Music: Yes, there will be a cast recording of “Natasha/Pierre, etc.”, starring Josh Groban. Sports: The top-ranked figure skaters in the world — men’s and ladies’ — are both Japanese. No American champions this year! Finally: “A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants.”
