Carrie Fisher Kept On Going
In spite of all her health challenges, Carrie Fisher wasn’t sitting at home in her house (once owned by costumer Edith Head, who won a record 8 Oscars) eating bonbons. She was almost finished with a follow-up to her one-woman show, “Wishful Drinking,” and she had recently done voice work for two episodes of “Family Guy.” I remember Carrie — I once knew her — as a great chum: she wanted to know all about you from the first encounter. She was very witty and also very needy. That could be a difficult combination. But there was no one else quite like her. Rest in peace, Princess.
