What’s New: Gilmore, Ocean, Ballet

Can’t believe how many of my friends are chatting about “Gilmore Girls” on Facebook and Twitter: when did grown men get so girly?…Matt Lauer just re-signed as “Today” show host for $20 million a year: must have been those cracking interviews with Hillary and Donnie that Lauer did last summer…Premium(ie, non-scalped) tickets for the upcoming “Hello, Dolly!” cost $525. If they can get it, they get it. A premium “Hamilton” tickets goes for almost $1,000. (And did you see Lin-Manuel last night on “Drunk History”? Hi-lar-I-ous!…Josh Groban will warble this evening as part of the tree-lighting in Rockefeller Center…The wildly talented Frank Ocean will return to live performing next May in Alabama, after a two-year absence. Ocean’s latest album is “Blonde.”…Speaking of blonds who’ve been away too long, my fellow South Dakotan David Hallberg, ballet’s leading danseur noble, will return to a legitimate gig in December at the Sydney Opera House. He’ll dance Franz in “Coppelia.”
