It’s not unusual to get a song stuck in your head. And it usually seems pretty random. But a new study titled “Dissecting an Earworm: Melodic Features and Song Popularity Predict Involuntary Musical Imagery” published today in the American Psychological Association‘s journal Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity and the Arts has shown that we may in fact be able to predict what songs will turn into earworms.
