Late-Night Hosts Spoof Debate
The first presidential debate was held Monday at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y., with Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump facing off for the first time in the general election. The event, moderated by NBC’s Lester Holt, was the focus of several late-night hosts, some of whom aired their shows live on Monday in honor of the debate. (Video here.) Seth Meyers, Trevor Noah, and Stephen Colbert offered their takes on the night. Colbert’s take made me laugh, the others not so much.
