Most Smuggled Syrian Artefacts Are Fakes

Speaking ahead of his visit to Edinburgh’s International Cultural Summit this week, the director general for antiquities and museums also gives a relatively optimistic view of restoration work in Palmyra. It’s cheering to have some good news from a country in which so many are suffering.
