Wendell Pierce Loses Louisiana Home
Wendell Pierce, star of “The Wire” and “Treme” and that Clarence Thomas movie, all on HBO, had his home destroyed by the flooding in Baton Rouge, 11 years after his childhood home was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. The 52-year-old Louisiana native revealed the news Sunday on Twitter, saying the response to his loss reminded him of “the generosity given to my family during Katrina.” The actor’s parents’ home was damaged when Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005.
