N.F.L.: We Didn’t Ask Adele
Donald Trump isn’t the only one who appears to be fibbing when it comes to the National Football League. Yesterday, news broke that Adele had rejected the NFL’s offer to perform at next year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. “I’d like to tell you I’m not doing the Super Bowl. I mean, come on,†she said at a concert in Los Angeles. “That show is not about music, and I don’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no.†Now, the NFL and halftime show sponsor Pepsi have issued a joint statement denying that they ever offered the show to Adele. Read it here.
