Rifles, Bears & Buñuel: Adès’s Opera
Sondheim and David Ives are still working on a musical based in part on Buñuel’s “Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie.” Thomas Ades has finished his Buñuel project, based on the film “The Exterminating Angel,” and it premieres this week at the Salzburg Festival.
