Hillary Wants Hamilton But Hamilton’s Busy
He’s so popular he doesn’t even have time for Madam President. “Hamilton” writer and star Lin-Manuel Miranda is reportedly at the top of the Hillary Clinton campaign’s wishlist for desired performances at the Democratic National Convention next month in Philadelphia. According to Politico, Democratic operatives have reached out to the in-demand Broadway star as part of the campaign’s push to appeal to younger, more diverse demographics. Miranda is an unlikely booking, as he is scheduled to be shooting a new “Mary Poppins” film in London the week of the Democratic convention. If Hillary came out big in support of ailing Puerto Rico she’d have a better chance of coaxing Lin to her party.
