Your Weekend: A Selective Guide
Movies: Will “Warcraft” please its diehard fans? The “De Palma” documentary looks very interesting. Television: Sunday brings the Tony Awards, hosted by James Corden. They will be dominated by a certain show about the Founding Fathers, which is why they are known this year as the Hamil-tonys. Music: Paul Simon’s new album, “Stranger to Stranger,” is wonderful. If you don’t believe me, take a listen here. I can never get too much of the singer Lorraine Hunt Lieberson. Books: In honor of Gay Pride Month, I’m recommending “Lust & Wonder,” by Augusten Burroughs, and “Bettyville,” by George Hodgman. Sports: Soccer fans are in heaven right now: both Euro 2016 and the Copa America are going on. Finally: If you’re having a bad day, ask yourself: do I have food? Shelter? Clothing? If you do, things aren’t as bad as you think.
