Where Are The Asian-American Stars?
After an uproar over the whitewashing of Asian characters in ‘Doctor Strange’ and ‘Ghost in the Shell,’ THR looks at how Asian-American representation can be improved in Hollywood. There has been some progress with the women: south-Asian Priyanka Chopra is crossing over to the American market, but the obstacles for both women and men remain. It’s amazing that actors as intelligent as Tilda Swinton, Emma Stone, and Scarlett Johansson (pictured) aren’t more sensitive to this issue.
