New TV Project: Davis & Crawford Feud
Does anyone under 50 even know who Bette Davis and Joan Crawford are? TV-producing powerhouse Ryan Murphy is hoping so. His new TV anthology series, “Feud,” kicks off with a first season pitting Davis and Crawford against each other as they film “Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?” Personally, I’d rather see one of the other announced members of the cast, Judy Davis, as Bette. But Susan Sarandon, back in the spotlight as an inveterate Bernie supporter, is a bigger name. Let’s just hope that Jessica Lange, who is Crawford, doesn’t do to poor Joanie what she, Lange, did to Big Edie Beale in HBO’s “Grey Gardens.”
