“Ghostbusters” Star Endures Twitter Haters
Well, what did you expect when you made the three white characters intellectuals and the black character a transportation worker? Leslie Jones, who plays the worker, has been criticized heavily on Twitter for taking a role in the new “Ghostbusters” that, some people say, is an instance of casual racism. The Twitter storm erupted last week after the full trailer for Paul Feig‘s remake debuted online, but pressure has continued to be heaped on the comic in the intervening period. Feig is defending Jones, fiercely.
