Morricone’s New Soundtrack: Soon
There’s only one thing that interests me about “The Hateful Eight,” the new movie directed by the vulgar Quentin Tarantino: the score by Ennio Morricone. (The movie is getting some advance raves, and generating the usual Quentin controversy.) It is the legendary composer’s first Western score in four decades. On December 18, the soundtrack album will be released via Decca Records, with Jack White‘s Third Man Records putting out a special vinyl edition. Morricone’s “1900” is my all-time favorite film score. (Listen to it here.)
