Movies: I liked Stallone in “Creed,” your kids will like “The Good Dinosaur,” and the artsy will like “The Danish Girl.” Television: On Thanksgiving, watch the true story of “The Pilgrims.” Friday brings the National Dog Show. And there are marathons throughout the long weekend. Music: If you need relief from Adele, go back in time for another big gal with a big voice: Mama Cass — start with “Her Greatest Hits.” If you want a skinny singer, try Enya’s “Dark Sky Island.” Books: I’ve been thoroughly enjoying Peter Guralnick‘s “Sam Phillips: The Man Who Invented Rock ‘n’ Roll.” Almost as much as Guralnick’s Elvis bios. Sports: The Giants and Jets may be fading, but the Rangers give NY fans hope. Finally: Turns out turkey’s soporific properties have been grossly exaggerated. So pig out!
