“The Revenant”: Tough To Watch
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu (“Birdman”), “The Revenant is a story of survival set in the 19th-century American wilderness. It was screened last night in California. Fans of the director seem very pleased; real people say this long movie is very violent and tough to sit through. Which makes me highly doubtful “The Revenant” will win Oscar’s best picture, though it will be a contender and Leo, long overdue, could win a Best Actor Oscar.
