…”Preacher”! After gestating for nearly a decade, comic-book hero Preacher has finally made it to the small screen, with AMC releasing the first trailer for the titular live-action show. The premise is pretty bonkers: a small-town preacher named Jesse Custer merges with an otherworldly being and sets out to find God, joined by a hard-drinking Irish vampire and his ex-girlfriend. He has supernatural powers that allow him to ‘command the obedience of those who hear and comprehend his words’ in the comic books, but these aren’t really touched upon in the trailer.
