The National Performs New Song
Over the weekend, the National played a benefit show for Cooperative Education at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. During the show, the band debuted a new song called “Roman Candle.” Cooperative Education is a nonprofit that supports education programs for girls in Guatemala. Specifically, last night’s show benefitted the Thousand Girls Initiative, the result of a partnership between the National’s Matt Berninger and his cousins Joe and Jeff Berninger, who founded Cooperative for Education.
