David Geffen Hall Gets The New Typeface
Avery Fisher Hall is being changed into David Geffen Hall — in honor of the $100 million gift my old pal Mr. Geffen gave as part of his generous philanthropy. There were a lot of signs and maps to change around Lincoln Center to make Fisher Geffen: 61. The building was the last at Lincoln Center to be freshened up with signs in a typeface called Univers.
