Dean Jones Goes “Into The Light”
The obvious headline for his death is “Dean Jones: No More Being Alive.” That pays homage to his performance in the great Sondheim show “Company.” But I couldn’t resist referencing Jones’s short-lived 1986 musical turn in “Into the Light,” about the Shroud of Turin, because it is one of my friend Dee Sushi‘s all-time-favorite shows. I know: It lasted less than a week after it opened. Well, so did “Carrie,” and that was a bloody masterpiece.
