Nicholas Hoult To Play J.D. Salinger
Nicholas Hoult (left) will play author J.D. Salinger in Danny Strong’s upcoming drama “Rebel in the Rye.” Strong wrote the screenplay, an adaptation of Kenneth Slawenski biography, J.D. Salinger: A Life, and he will also direct the film. The movie tells the story of the birth of Salinger’s “The Catcher in the Rye.” The legendary writer soared to the heights of the literary world but left it all behind for a life of seclusion.
