Patti’s “Just Kids” To Be TV Series
Patti Smith released her National Book Award-winning memoir “Just Kids,” about her friendship with the photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, in 2010. Smith was reported to be working on a screenplay adaptation of the book back in 2011, and now, that seems to have paid off: Showtime has ordered a limited series adaptation of “Just Kids.” It will be co-written by Smith, who will co-produce with John Logan. Kristin Stewart is an obvious choice to play the young Patti, but Patti wants unknowns.
