I found “Poldark,” the endless period drama on PBS this summer, as boring as being alive. But the Prince of Wales, apparently, did not. His Royal Highness has joked about recreating Poldark’s shirtless scything scene as he called for the practice to become a regular sight in the countryside once more. HRH interested in shirtless lads? I’m shocked, shocked. Interest in scything is undergoing something of a renaissance after it was featured in the BBC/PBS period drama, demonstrated by a semi-clad Aidan Turner (pictured). The Prince spoke about the subject during a trip to Transylvania, where he judged a village scything competition.
