Tate Modern To Mount Rauschenberg Show

The first posthumous retrospective of work by the American painter Robert Rauschenberg will feature in Tate Modern’s 2016 program. It will be the first comprehensive show of his art in the UK for almost 35 years. Organized in collaboration with New York’s Museum of Modern Art, it will open in December and will include a selection of his hybrid paintings and sculptures, which he called “combines,” as well as his graphic screen prints of President John F. Kennedy. Pictured is a 1963 work called “Archive.”
