Dear Michael Douglas: Please Shut Up
Douglas says that there are too many ‘sensitive young men’ in US film, allowing more macho and better trained Australian and British actors to take meaty roles. Oh, please: there are just as many badly trained actors in Britain as in the United States, not to mention Australia. As for the casting of hunks in movies, these things appear to go in cycles. And since when is Michael Douglas — never particularly macho or sexy on screen — an expert in these matters? His last high-profile role was…Liberace.
