Which Gay-Marriage Movie Should Be Made?
Variety and the N.Y. Times are reporting that Twentieth Century Fox is developing a film about the Supreme Court’s recent marriage-equality ruling. Fox has acquired the life rights of Jim Obergefell, the lead plaintiff in the lawsuit that went to the court. I’m sure it will be perfectly nice and worthy and earnest and rah-rah. But the marriage-case movie I’d like to see is the one hinted at by The Onion: “Scalia, Thomas, Roberts, Alito Suddenly Realize They Will Be Villains In Oscar-Winning Movie One Day.” I’d pay ready money to see that picture.
