FIFA Movie: Disastrously Timed Release
Talk about bad timing: the new film “United Passions” is a star-dappled epic about FIFA, underwritten by FIFA and portraying FIFA’s president, Sepp Blatter, as a resolute champion of ethics. It is scheduled for release this Friday. In other words, if you’re the distributor, your product is essentially a movie about the World Trade towers falling down two days after 9/11. When he took the role as the disgraced FIFA leader, Sepp Blatter, Tim Roth (pictured) must have really needed the paycheck. Last week, Roth was playing Prince Rainier in the bomb “Grace of Monaco”; this week, it’s Blatter. Yikes.
