Woody’s 45th Movie Is “Irrational”
Looking at “Irrational Man” (which sounds like one of those existentialist philosophy books we had to read in college), David Rooney finds Woody Allen in “fine vintage form.” Why am I skeptical? Maybe because I haven’t loved a film by Woody — this is his 45th feature! — in about 20 years. Variety is more restrained: the picture is “offbeat and ambitiously weird.” Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix star; released date is July 24th.
