“Youth” To Screen At Cannes
The Cannes Film Festival begins this week, and the movie I look forward most to seeing (eventually: I am not, alas, in the south of France) is Paolo Sorrentino‘s “Youth.” Sorrentino’s “The Great Beauty” was my favorite film of 2013. The new one looks from the poster like a story of two dirty old men (Michael Caine, Harvey Keitel), but I suspect it will be considerably more layered and poetic than just a story of codgers ogling hoochie-coochie.
