“Mamma Mia” To Close On Broadway
So there is a God. It’s taken 14 years, but the Almighty has finally decided to shut down one of my least favorite musical hits of all time, right up there with “Cats,” which it succeeded at the Winter Garden Theater. The most I can say for this ABBA-fest is: it opened in New York just after 9/11, and provided an ailing city, and wounded theatre district, with some harmless fun. But it still sucked.
