Sunday TV Scorecard: Mad, Wife, Wolf

Mad Men: I’ve never been a fan, and it feels as if its final season has been imminent for years, but last night indeed kicked off the last batch. Don Draper (Jon Hamm, pictured) bedded every female who walked past him: plus ca change. Grade: B-. The Good Wife: Christine Baranski is finally getting more airtime, and last night her arc involved gay marriage: ripped from the headlines! Grade: A-. Wolf Hall: Thomas Cromwell and Henry VIII have made it to America. The debut episode is a little too slow-paced for some tastes. But it’s fascinating to see a show shot in the places where the 16th-century characters lived and worked. Grade: A-. Sinatra: All or Nothing At All: Fresh from his eye-popping Scientology docu, Alex Gibney gives us a two-parter about Ol’ Blue Eyes. The approach was too reverent, but there’s some little-seen performance footage. Grade: B+.
