“Twentieth Century”: My FT Review
The Financial Times has posted my review of “On the Twentieth Century,” a Broadway revival of a 1978 musical, which stars Kristin Chenoweth. Bottom line: ‘My audience glowed with pleasure at the tap-dancing verve of the production’s quartet of porters and at the 1930s glamour of David Rockwell’s set and William Ivey Long’s costumes. Less content, I took happy refuge in the hilarious acrobatics of Andy Karl as Lily’s failed-actor lover.’
