Groban’s New Album: Broadway Favorites

Josh Groban, who was once seen in the Actors Fund concert version of “Chess,” will release his newest album, titled “Stages,” April 28 on the Reprise Records label. It is a collection of musical-theater favorites, and includes duets with Kelly Clarkson and Audra McDonald. All this begs the question: Why won’t Josh do a Broadway show? Does he suffer from Streisand Syndrome — you know, the disinclination to attempt 8, or even 6, shows a week? Neither Josh nor Babs has to worry about money, so what are they waiting for? My conclusion: either they are a little lazy or just plain greedy.
