“The Audience”: My FT Review
The Financial Times has posted my review of “The Audience,” which has just opened on Broadway. To wit: ‘Queen Elizabeth II has made all her official visits to the US under Republican administrations, so I am happy to report that Helen Mirren, Her Majesty’s representative on earth, has alighted on Broadway, in Peter Morgan’s sketchily conceived, quite moving “The Audience,” during a Democratic reign.’
