Björk Show Savaged By Critics
The critics are having a field day beating up on Björk and the Museum of Modern Art for the new retrospective devoted to the Icelandic singer’s work. New York mag calls the exhibition “a disaster.” The New York Times says “the Modern isn’t up to the task.” I’ve seen the exhibition, and I found it thrilling: I learned new things about Björk, and sailed out of the museum with my earbuds strapped on and listening to “Biophilia” for the millionth time. There’s an old saying: “The dogs bark; the caravan passes.” The critics are the barking dogs, and the hordes who will line up at MOMA are the caravan.
