“Child 44”: Icy Moscow Malevolence
I read and enjoyed Tom Rob Smith‘s novel “Child 44,” though I’ve not been able to finish another of his books since. “Child 44” is a serial-killer thriller set during the Stalinist chill of 1953 Soviet Russia. The movie version will be released on April 17, starring Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Noomi Rapace, Charles Dance, Jason Clarke, and Vincent Cassell. Filmed in Prague, Ostrova and Kladno in the Czech Republic. Screenplay by Richard Price. Be there.
