Oscar “Glory” For Common & John Legend?
In the barrage of criticism yesterday about how white and male the Oscar noms were: the Best Song nominees were rather overlooked, probably because those noms didn’t utterly fit the narrative of all non-white people being shut out. In fact, the group of songsters nommed was a fairly interesting and lively one. And Common and John Legend, from “Selma,” have to be counted the frontrunners for their song “Glory.” A win for them would be an Oscar-broadcast highlight.
