“Marco Polo” Series: Super-Expensive
Netflix is preparing on December 12 to launch its newest original series, “Marco Polo,” which focuses on the life of the famous explorer, including his interactions with Kublai Kahn. The cast is mostly (to Americans) unknown, including actor Lorenzo Richelmy (pictured) plays Marco. The project is one of the most expensive TV series ever made, according to The New York Times, with a cost of $90 million to produce 10 episodes. The only show with a higher budget is HBO’s “Game Of Thrones.” “Marco”? “Polo!”
