TV: Sunday-Night Scorecard
The Walking Dead (pictured): “Crossed,” the title of this episode, dutifully set up the big midseason-finale showdown, and for some viewers, it’ll feel like a filler/transitional episode. The action is limited, the dialogue plentiful, though without any of the “what does it all mean?” philosophizing. Grade: C+. The Good Wife: That was a brutal ending. And it’s not helping matters that we have to wait until 2015 for any resolution. Cary’s trial began, and things are not going well for him. When are Alicia and Finn going to get drunk and do the nasty? Grade: B. The Newsroom: A showdown between the Department of Justice and the ACN elders lands Will in even more hot water, and a prospective investor has Charlie grappling with the future of the network. Grade: B+.
